Chelsea are interested in appointing Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi if Enzo Maresca leaves this summer.
This according to Italian outlet FCInterNews. They report that the Blues could join Al-Hilal in trying to snap up the Nerazzurri boss.
Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi’s future has come into a bit of question in recent weeks.
The 49-year-old’s contract with Inter runs out at the end of next June.
Inter President Beppe Marotta has confirmed that the club aim to begin contract talks with Inzaghi after the Champions League final and the Club World Cup.
There’s little doubt that Inter will want to continue on with the former Lazio coach.
Despite shortcomings in the league this season, Inter appreciate Inzaghi’s work. He has brought the Nerazzurri to the Champions League final for the second time in three years this season.
Chelsea Keen On Inter Coach Simone Inzaghi

In the background, Al-Hilal want to make a shock move for Simone Inzaghi.
The Saudi Pro League club have already made an offer worth €20 million per season to the coach.
Inzaghi rejected this bid. However, that has not deterred Al-Hilal. They have reportedly upped their bid to €35 million per season.
Still, FCIN report, Inzaghi has no intention of leaving Inter.
Nevertheless, that does not mean that the interest in the former Lazio coach’s signature isn’t growing.
In fact, FCIN report, Inzaghi would be one of Chelsea’s main targets to replace Enzo Maresca on the bench.
I may be wrong but i dont see him as a guy tempted with money, he may go to chelsea to test epl but its going to be a bad choice for him as their managements arent as good as inter.
here at inter he builds his legacy and winning cycle as well as reviving italian league n identity. the team core still have 3-4 in peak superstar (lautaro, barella, bastoni, and thuram) enough to challenge UCL in the next couple of years..
I hope when the day comes, all the Inzaghi haters just be happy.
35 mln net per season. I would go there for 2 season. 70 mln is too big to reject. Then I would return to Europe to coach for fun.
i belive he will take that offer too, but i hate the idea of replacing him with allegri, i rather have motta and wait for inzaghi to return.
motta sucks. his tactical style is like watching old italian coaches from 1990s. hell I still prefer inzaghi over conte. inzaghi isn’t noisy, doesn’t over complaining things and ask impossible things like him. those who have been watching inzaghi from lazio know how good he is. he’s rare diamond
