Simone Inzaghi and Inter Milan will soon meet at the negotiating table to discuss the in-demand manager’s contract renewal.
Per La Repubblica via FCInterNews, the 49-year-old has certain demands before agreeing to put pen to paper on a new deal.
Inter will sit down with the former Lazio coach to discuss his future after Saturday’s Champions League final.
Though the extension looked inevitable until not long ago, Al-Hilal’s interest could prove a game-changer.
Indeed, the Saudi Arabian giants have tabled a monstrous €60 million proposal for a two-year contract.
Staying immune to such figures is no easy feat, and Simone Inzaghi may seek assurances from Inter before replying to Al-Hilal.
Inter Milan Boss Simone Inzaghi Outlines Three Key Demands Before Penning New Contract

Needless to say, Inzaghi expects a significant salary increase.
He currently earns around €4m net per season, which could go to €7m in case he signs a new deal.
Furthermore, he wants guarantees from the board ahead of a transitional summer transfer window.
Indeed, Inter must rejuvenate their aging squad, as this season proved they need fresh blood to compete on multiple fronts.
Last but not least, Inzaghi has urged the club to take action against Serie A referees.
He blames the officials for Inter’s busted Scudetto defense and wants the club to do something about that.
Who does Inzaghi think he is? The referees had nothing to do with his poor subs during games and fielding the same crap formation over and over again. He is tactically inept and relies heavily on individual brilliance from our players. I don’t see Inzaghi as someone who’s indispensable and believe we could do better with another coach but let’s see what happens. I couldn’t care less if he accepts this Saudi contract. In fact I hope he does.
Bruno you make alot of sense, thank you for your very good analysis. you make my comment alot easier. conte left inter for dead, and anzaghi has turn that team now to an elite taam within the shortest possible time.
Agree that fans should stop seeing Conte as a traitor or belittling him. He wanted the team to be more competitive, the management had to sell key players. Not his fault at all.
Marotta and co are too quiet about refs issues which have caused inter alot. they made nzhagi a scapegoat in the media, when he complains no one is saying anything.(imagine guida a var ref vs lazio).
i have said it before, before he signs, let there be conditions to be met. serie a is poor and this act is already demarketing the league.
some players and key figures at inter victimized him by not publicly condeming the process(calcio napoli). sometimes i just wonder. they want to dent all his hardwork.
for the last time, inter is nobody’s political office.
don’t know if we will be able to do much about the refereeing but he deserves everything else! he’s made us champions league contenders with a team Cunte left for dead( and took money to leave!!).
Left for dead?
Conte: wins league, wants assurances from the board – they refuse – he leaves = traitor
Inzaghi, blows league TWICE!, wants similar assurances from the board, otherwise threatens to leave = hero
♂️
Did you forget that Inzaghi inherited Conte’s team? The same team that lost two key players (three if you count Eriksen) which made Conte leave. Inzaghi has been doing wonders with a shoestring budget. Conte, on the other hand, was given every single player he asked for. Just compare the 2019/20 roster to Spalletti’s team. That was a complete overhaul. Inzaghi never had that luxury. Conte never made it out of the CL group stage while Inzaghi did so 4 times in a row; lost by 2:1 against Liverpool (one of the strongest team that year), reached the final the following year, got knocked out against Atletico in penalties, and reached yet another final knocking out Bayern and Barcelona. Losing Scudetto sucks, but I’d rather have what we’ve been given by Inzaghi than simply winning Serie A and being non-existent in the Champions League.
The UCL is 100× times more important than Serie A, hopefully we will win it this weekend.
His request is fair enough. Oaktree and Marotta can guarantee it immediately, except the referees 🙂
