Como seem unfazed by growing speculation linking Cesc Fabregas with a move to Inter Milan, who are also keen on Cristian Chivu.
Per Gianluca Di Marzio via FCInter1908, the Lakers remain ‘convinced’ of the Spaniard’s short-term future at Giuseppe Sinigaglia.
Cesc Fabregas is the leading candidate to take over the managerial reins at San Siro.
Indeed, Inter want the 38-year-old to replace Simone Inzaghi, who is on the verge of joining Al-Hilal.
Though talks between the Nerazzurri and Fabregas are underway, Como chiefs believe he’ll stay.
Como Convinced Cesc Fabregas Will Stay Put Regardless of Inter Milan Interest, Cristian Chivu Is Next Alternative

Inter have already established contact with the Spanish manager.
Despite his initial desire to stay for at least one more season, Fabregas is now second-guessing his choice.
Indeed, Inter’s offer has tempted the Barcelona academy graduate.
However, if the deal falls through, the Nerazzurri may turn to Cristian Chivu.
After coaching the Primavera side, Chivu took over Parma in the second half of 2024/25 and helped them secure top-flight survival.
Furthermore, Genoa’s Patrick Vieira is another solution, though it’s the least likely option.
it seems that fabregas is preferred by Oaktree, while Marotta prefers Raffaele Palladino.
lets hope that if we get Fabregas joins, Oaktree will make more fund available
How about Mancini ?
why not Klopp instead???
IMAO Marotta wants someone who would accept his transfer market strategies which is selling if a good offer arrives and buying if a good player is available for cheap. Big name coaches usually won’t accept that.
Moreover, there is this stability philosophy of Marotta so a coach which is familiar to 3 defense formation is preferred.
Another factor is the new owners who -as Americans who love high tempo games- tend to prefer a young side playing attractive attacking football.
so there will be a young charismatic coach with fluid attacking philosophy and familiar to 3 man defense formations.
I think Palladino is the safest option, he has some sort of charisma which I can’t see in Fabregas.
I should add that, as long as the management team is the same, the club will continue to prosper so don’t worry and just trust them.
why nobody metion motta?
Sneaky sneaks. To control where others focus their attention. Like Klopp, Zidane, Guardiola, Ancelotti and Solskjær… we might be up for a few surprises this summer. Marotta traditionally leaks a few names and negotiates elsewhere.
if we want trust new process, i chose klopp
YES!!!
he is suitable to work with young players but when it comes to handling big name stars, he has management issues. Showed that during Juve job.
Although he would have been the first choice last year, this year he is less appealing
if the options are Vieira and Chivu, just pick Chivu
not vieira. he plays boring game. anyways, welcome back boring inter
Why would anyone even consider him
this horror gives me life’s lesson, when you dont demand for anything beyond what boss can offer you, but you cannot achieve anything that so called “miracle”, you will still be called a failure. when a system failed you, you are still being blamed for everything.
Wow thats deep bro, but cant disagree for that,
Of the names being touted (and I wouldn’t be against Fabregas) Chivu would be my personal choice….
Chivu is a treble hero that will gain the immediate respect of the players, and knows the club inside out, he plays good football, and is used to working with young players….
Also, as the former Primevara coach, he might actually make use of some of our youth players, whether it be The Esposito brothers, Carboni, Topalovic, Berenbruch…
I am well aware that he is a rookie coach, but then so is Fabregas….
yes once he doesnt win 5 games in a row there will be hashtag chivuout
At the end of the day, it’s not like we’re being linked with Enrique, Klopp and Pep, is it? Fans are gonna have to understand that whoever comes in is gonna need some time to implement their way of playing…. And setting off with the mindset of “they’re gonna go 5 games without winning” isn’t gonna help….
Talking about pep, his system doesn’t work anymore. Ever since the final against us, people started to realize how to deal with tiki taka.
Unfortunately there are very few proven tactician out there. Maybe if can lure Klopp or Zidane somehow, which is very unlikely. Otherwise we must gamble on one of rising newcomers. With our sponsor being a gambling site, I won’t be surprised if we end up gambling.
Yeah, I wouldn’t actually want Pep, for many reasons….. just saying that people need to be realistic about our targets…
I don’t think he has that much respect among our stars. he was a part of 2010 team but was not one the stars of the show.
I can see Barella and Dumfiries respecting Fabregas or Viera but don’t see them accepting Chivu that easily.
Besides, inter have jus started moving toward young players but still considered an old team.
So at the moment I don’t think so.
By the way I loved chivu’s precise long sliding tackles when he was a player
