Cristian Chivu will terminate his contract with Parma and then officially become the new coach of Inter Milan on Monday.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan have decided upon Cristian Chivu to be their new coach. The 44-year-old will replace Simone Inzaghi, who has left to join Al-Hilal.
Inter had been working on snapping up Cesc Fabregas to become Inzaghi’s successor.
However, Como President Mirwan Suwarson strongly rebuffed the Nerazzurri’s interest, and stated that the Lariani would refuse to release the Spaniard.
Meanwhile, Genoa coach Patrick Vieira was another name reportedly on Inter’s shortlist.
Cristian Chivu To Terminate Parma Contract & Become Inter Coach On Monday

Inter have already worked out all the details of Chivu’s arrival.
The 44-year-old will sign a two-year contract with the Nerazzurri, taking him until the end of June 2027. He is set to earn €2.5 million net per season.
Inter have met with Chivu in the past couple days to agree a contract. Therefore, it’s only a matter of time.
However, there are still some bureaucratic details to finish up with. Particularly Chivu’s release from Parma.
Therefore, nothing is official just yet. However, it’s not far away now.
Sky Sport Italia report that Monday will be the day for Chivu to formally end his association with Parma.
Therefore, the Romanian will be able to begin work ahead of the Club World Cup.
