Benito Carbone has reportedly replaced Andrea Zanchetta as the new coach of the Inter Milan Primavera side.

Per FCInterNews, the 53-year-old will take charge of Inter’s U-18 squad following Zanchetta’s departure.

Andrea Zanchetta had been in charge of the Primavera for a year after coaching all other youth teams.

Indeed, the 50-year-old joined the Nerazzurri in 2016, taking charge of the U-17 side.

Then, he steadily climbed the ranks before replacing Cristian Chivu in the Primavera last year.

However, after just one season with the Primavera, Zanchetta decided it was time to leave the San Siro.

Therefore, he will coach Serie C outfit Novara next season.

Meanwhile, Inter turned to Carbone to fill the void, promoting the former striker into the new role ahead of 2025/26.

Yet, Carbone will reportedly only sign a one-year contract.

The short-term deal suggests Inter want to evaluate his progress before committing to a longer tenure.

As for Zanchetta, he fared well in his only season in charge, helping the Primavera reach the UEFA Youth League knockouts.
