Parma have continued to raise the price for Giovanni Leoni, with Inter Milan, AC Milan, and Juventus facing a €30 million asking price.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
It is certainly no secret that Giovanni Leoni is attracting transfer interest.
Parma only signed the teenage defender last summer. Reportedly they paid Sampdoria a fee of around €7 million.
However, that bet looks to have paid off in a big way for the Gialloblu.
Parma Raise Price For Inter, AC Milan & Juventus Target Giovanni Leoni Target To €30M

Giovanni Leoni enjoyed an outstanding season with Parma. Particularly towards the end of the campaign.
The 18-year-old looked extremely comfortable at the heart of Parma’s defense as they avoided relegation under Cristian Chivu.
Chivu’s arrival as Inter coach has certainly intensified the Nerazzurri’s interested in Leoni. In fact, they had already targeted Leoni last summer before he moved to Parma.
However, Parma are not going to let Leoni go for cheap.
According to the Gazzetta, the Emilian club are already thinking of a €30 million asking price for Leoni.
That would be a massive profit from what Parma paid for Leoni just twelve months ago.
According to the Gazzetta, Juventus are taking a step back for the moment. And Inter and AC Milan are still interested, but will have to contend with the high price tag.
Meanwnhile, reports the Gazzetta, there are also clubs outside of Serie A eyeing Leoni up.
This is what happens when you continuously drag out what should be fairly simple transfers…. if we’d have just bid €15-20 million during the first window, he’d be on our squad now… well done Oaktree….
Not our first rodeo, we can’t seem to learn.
Now we need to manage Inter U23 team really good right from the start. We only need to spend some money on some real talent, the rest of players will come from primavera team (there are maybe 10 kids who can play currently at serie C level right now), and young players with expired contract. For kids like Topalovic, Berenbruche, de Pieri, Cocchi first half of season use them at U23 team to give them standard senior football, then send them on loan at clubs from serie B. Every year we can take 10 players from there, offer contract 3+1 year, maybe someone will improve considerably, on some we can earn. If used well, every consecutive year we can bring into budget from youth team minimum 15+ mil
too much money for young and unproven player, who can turn out to be one season wonder… just move on and find a better and cheaper alternative, i still remmeber how people were bashing for giving 7 mlns for Bisseck and think what they will do to Leoni if we give 30mlns and he fails…lllooooool
See what happens when you invest in young talents and give them chances? You make profits just like Parma is doing rn.
