Genoa and River Plate are both reportedly keen on signing Inter Milan attacking midfielder Valentin Carboni on loan this summer.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan attacking midfielder Valentin Carboni is currently back at the Nerazzurri.
The 20-year-old is part of the Inter squad at the Club World Cup.

Carboni has fully recovered from an ACL tear that he suffered in October. That injury had ruled him out of the majority of last season.
The Argentine had initially joined Marseille on loan last summer. Reportedly, the French club had a purchase option, whilst Inter had a buyback option.
However, the ACL injury completely disrupted any progress Carboni had been making.
Genoa & River Plate Both Want Inter Midfielder Valentin Carboni On Loan

Now the question is whether Carboni will go on loan again, or stay at Inter.
The Argentine has made appearances at the Club World Cup. And he in fact scored the winner in stoppage time against Urawa Red Diamonds, his first senior goal for Inter.
Therefore, it seems entirely possible that Cristin Chivu will give Valentin Carboni his chance next season.
But on the other hand, it could also be another loan out for Carboni, who spent the 2023-24 season on loan with Monza.
And according to Tuttosport, there are a couple clubs with an interest in Carboni’s signature.
One is Genoa. The Grifone are ready to bolster the squad available to coach Patrick Vieira, and have identified Carboni as a potential target.
Meanwhile, River Plate reportedly want the 20-year-old as a replacement for Real Madrid-bound Franco Mastantuono.
I feel like he will develop more in River Plate than Genoa. Genoa plays heavy defensive football where attacking midfielders will barely get the ball.
