Inter Milan are at risk of losing star wingback Denzel Dumfries due to a bizarre €30 million release clause.

Per Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInter1908, the clause becomes active in mid-July.

Despite putting pen to paper on a new contract last year, Denzel Dumfries could leave Inter this summer.

After a long-running saga, the 29-year-old pledged his future to San Siro until 2028.

However, a relatively low release clause could trigger his exit in the coming weeks.

Given today’s market prices, Dumfries’ release clause seems like a bargain.

Furthermore, the Dutchman enjoyed a dream 2024/25 season.

In addition to seven goals and three assists in Serie A, he was the architect of Inter’s run to the Champions League final.

Therefore, elite European clubs must have spotted his scintillating form.

Meanwhile, Luis Henrique could be Dumfries’ long-term replacement.

Despite joining the club as an intended backup, the Brazilian could get a more prominent role than expected.

However, there’s no doubt Inter will do everything to keep hold of the ex-PSV Eindhoven star.
