Valentin Carboni will reportedly join Genoa on loan from Inter Milan during the current summer transfer window.
This according to Ligurian newspaper Il Secolo XIX, via FCInter1908.
Inter Milan attacking midfielder Valentin Carboni is currently back at the Nerazzurri.
The 20-year-old was part of the Inter squad at the Club World Cup.
Carboni has fully recovered from an ACL tear that he suffered in October. That injury had ruled him out of the majority of last season.
The Argentine had initially joined Marseille on loan last summer. Reportedly, the French club had a purchase option, whilst Inter had a buyback option.
However, the ACL injury completely disrupted any progress Carboni had been making.
Report – Valentin Carboni To Join Genoa On Loan From Inter

Now the question is whether Carboni will go on loan again, or stay at Inter.
The Argentine has made appearances at the Club World Cup. And he in fact scored the winner in stoppage time against Urawa Red Diamonds, his first senior goal for Inter.
However, there is every chance that Carboni could go out on another loan.
The Argentine had also spent the 2023-24 season on loan with Monza.
According to Il Secolo XIX, it is Genoa who are in pole position to sign Valentin Carboni on loan this summer.
Is Carboni that shit that if we play him we are out of contending for the Champions league spot? I am so confused that we are still keeping the old players who were proven to be not good enough at the club worldcup and Chivu was brought in to develop and make use of young talents. Am I wrong here? Like what is the purpose of bringing in Chivu if he suddenly goes Inzaghi here?
It’s the daftness that happens in serie a.. Like I have said in the past… We need a “la liga” type coach or Bundesliga coach…
So this probably means Chivu will continue with 3-5-2 formation. Selling Esposito, loaning Carboni, that leaves only Frattesi who can play as AM
Can we please start making use of our Primevera talent?!? Pio staying is great news, but Carboni should be in our squad this season also!! This has been an issue ever since Moratti left, and the cashflow dried up, but if we just look at the last few seasons alone, we could currently have DiGregorio, Zanotti, Casadei, Fabbian and Oristanio in our squad (I’m probably forgetting a few others!) Are you seriously telling me that these guys would be less use than Sommer, Darmian, Asllani, Miki and even Henrique right now???
You fill out the squad with Primevera talent, which would give you more cash to spend on First 11 starters!! It works for so many clubs across Europe, yet we continuously ignore our own talent pool, that wins the Primevera Scudetto more than any other!!
which club does it work for in Europe?
clubs that aren’t selling clubs – by developing kids to sell off before their prime.
I’m pretty sure Barcelona, Man Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool and others have done pretty well mixing home grown talents with marquee signings…. And even if they hadn’t, why wouldn’t you want us to use our own players?
Lol.. Some people will always justify their perspective no matter the evidence shown…
They’ll never learn… So no plans to sell or let go of Mkhytaryan… It’s okay… LOL
