Hakan Calhanoglu reportedly denies wanting to leave Inter Milan this summer despite the constant links to Galatasaray.
This according to Italian outlet SportMediaset, via FCInterNews. They report that sources close to the player deny that he is pushing for a transfer, whilst it’s also denied that Calhanoglu has spoken with club captain Lautaro Martinez.
Transfer links between Inter Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu and Galatasaray have blown up into an out-and-out soap opera.
For the past several weeks, reports have filtered out of Turkey that the Istanbul giants are determined to sign Calhanoglu.
Fuelling these rumours have been reports that Calhanoglu himself is pushing for the move. There have even been reports that he has asked Inter to lower their asking price to make it happen.
Hakan Calhanoglu Reportedly Denies Wanting To Leave Inter Milan

Amid these constant transfer rumours, last week Inter captain Lautaro Martinez all but called out Calhanoglu.
The Argentine made comments to the media after Inter’s exit from the Club World Cup against Fluminense. He declared that “whoever wants to leave, leave.”
And naturally, this was not received well by Calhanoglu. The 31-year-old responded with a message of his own on social media, hitting out at the “divisive” comments by Martinez.
Today, reports emerged that Galatasaray have made their first offer to Inter for Calhanoglu.
The Turkish champions have bid €17 million according to SportMediaset. Inter rejected that offer out of hand, as it is far below their asking price.
The Nerazzurri are still holding out for €40 million, reports Mediaset. That reflects the fact that, in spite of this media circus, Calhanoglu is still a key player for them.
According to Mediaset, though, Calhanoglu has denied that he’s pushing for the transfer to happen.
Meanwhile, Mediaset further report that Calhanoglu’s camp deny that the Turkish international has messaged with Martinez to mend fences after the captain’s outburst.
On the other hand, the broadcaster report, Calhanoglu has spoken to some other Inter teammates about the matter. These include Marcus Thuram, Yann Sommer, Yann Bisseck, and Denzel Dumfries.
This is a dishonest play by the management. They want to sell Hakan bc he is 31 and has a large salary, so they have resorted to spreading fake news and rumours to force him out.
Hakan wants to play in Turkey. No one wanted to push him out. He is to be blamed for this mess before anyone else.
how can you think of that? any source relate ?
There are several media reports saying that Hakan has not asked the club to let him go.
First Inzaghi left, bc he knew the project of Oaktree was not competitive and Oaktree’s main goal is to lower the salary bill and the average age. Now Hakan “wants to leave”; a player who rejected BM and other rich clubs. Marotta after the game with Fluminense attacked Hakan in public to push him out. They just want to sell him, that’s all and are making things up to push him out. I just wonder who is the next player with a large salary who will “want to leave”. Time will tell.
Why do you think Hakan wasn’t featured in Fifa Club world cup. It was clear his time at Inter is over unless he comes out publicly saying he doesn’t want to leave and committed with the new coach project. It’s not the first time he was rumoured to leave during the transfer market the only difference is Inter is tired of people going behind their back and mess everything up
He wasn’t featured because he was injured
Marotta and oak tree are trying to push him out seems feasible
Wanting to go to galatasaray and potentially retire there is NOT betrayal or disloyalty – probably the opposite as many players do that type of homecoming as a sign of nostalgia and loyalty to their hometown, etc
If this true than the management are stupid.. cause no way in hell slandering your own player resulting in higher offer from other clubs.. if they want to sell him just offer him to other clubs especially alhilal, the only good thing with this strategy are just for the fans perspective.. cause fans will think Hakan betraying inter that’s why inter must sell him even though with low price..
