Inter Milan are reportedly looking at Benfica midfielder Orkun Kokcu as a potential replacement for Hakan Calhanoglu.
This according to Portuguese newspaper A Bola, via FCInterNews. They report that Benfica want a fee of €40 million for the 24-year-old.
Inter Milan are bracing for the possible exit of Hakan Calhanoglu.
The 31-year-old former AC Milan and Bayer Leverkusen midfielder has been heavily linked with Galatasaray.
And Inter do not want to be caught out if Calhanoglu departs. Therefore, they are actively seeking out replacement.

According to A Bola, yet another name has emerged on Inter’s list of potential replacements for Calhanoglu.
And intriguingly, it is another Turkish international.
Benfica midfielder Orkun Kokcu has also attracted some interest from Serie A. The likes of AC Milan and Roma have reportedly considered a move for the 24-year-old.
Meanwhile, Turkish clubs Galatasaray, Besiktas, and Fenerbahce all reportedly have sounded out a move. However, at this point in time, the 24-year-old is not keen on a move to the Turkish Super Lig.
Kokcu joined Benfica from Feyenoord in the summer of 2023.
And according to A Bola, the Lisbon giants would want a fee of around €40 million for the Turk.

The management wants to sell Hakan bc he is 31 on a high salary. They are pushing him out of the team to replace him with some cheap “talent”.
Well honestly I don’t know. yes he’s on high salary and 31etc. but something does not add up. it appears that chala got in touch with galatasaray which triggered Toro, particularly after the inzaghi incident. anyway who knows what really goes on,

A player like this guy is worth 40mil while Frattesi is worth 35mil? I am not sure who is doing the math here but this trend needs to change.
Unfortunately, players values depend solely on how much a club is willing to pay, and how much a club needs to sell….. Our problem is that clubs know we aren’t in the best place financially, so when it comes to selling we always get low-balled…. A lot of the time, the players we want are at financially stable clubs, so we can’t meet their valuation…. either that, or we drag it out so long, other clubs get involved, and we lose out in a bidding war….
The only solution I can see at this point is to grow talents either from youth or from young purchase. that will reduce how much we spend on transfers and we can also make profits if we decide to sell.
Just like what Benfica is doing
