From seemingly having one foot out the door, Davide Frattesi has made a dramatic U-Turn on his future at Inter Milan.
Today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, note how the Italian international is now ready for contract extension talks with the Nerazzurri,
Davide Frattesi has long looked like a player on the way out at Inter.
In recent months, it has looked all but inevitable that the 25-year-old would leave Inter this summer. He had already reportedly asked for a move away in January.
Then, after the Champions League final, a falling out with then-Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi further sealed Frattesi’s fate.
However, the departure of Inzaghi to go after big money at Al-Hilal has changed things for Frattesi. The Italian international could have a more prominent role under Cristian Chivu.
Davide Frattesi Makes Dramatic U-Turn On Inter Milan Future

Now that there is a different coach in charge, Frattesi has undergone a real change of heart.
The 25-year-old former Sassuolo midfielder is ready to stay. He believes that he can finally vie for a starting spot with Chivu in charge.
Accordingly, the Corriere dello Sport report, things have changed so much that now Inter are ready to offer Frattesi a new contract.
The Italian international could sign a new deal to put doubts about his future to rest once and for all.
I wouldn’t mind if Frattesi stays, but only if we change formation to play with 1 striker, if not there’ll be no balance in midfield with him in team. Too much pressure will be on the rest of midfielders to cover him in defence
Chivu can make room for him. 4-4-2. In midfield 1 DMF, 2 CMF, 1 AMF. Fratessi is fighter. We need player like him, not big game loser like Calha.
Dimarco not defender. I hope Chivu play him as midfielder. Otherwise, I don’t want to see Dimarco on WB, he make defensive mistakes alot. Most memorable ones on both UCL finals 1st goal.
