Jorge Mendes has reportedly offered Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries and AC Milan’s Rafael Leao to Barcelona.
This according to Spanish transfer reporter David Ibanez, via FCInterNews. He reports that the two Serie A stars were the main names to come up in a recent meeting between Mendes and Barcelona.
Barcelona recently held a meeting with super-agent Jorge Mendes.
The Portuguese agent had been working on a contract extension for Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal.
And, having secured their teenage star winger’s future with a new deal, the Blaugranas also held some other transfer talks with Mendes.
Mendes Offers Dumfries & Leao To Barcelona
According to Spanish transfer reports David Ibanez, there were two names in particular that came up in the discussions between Barcelona and Mendes. Both from Serie A.
One was that of Inter wingback Denzel Dumfries.
The Dutchman recently switched agents, with Mendes now representing him.
Moreover, Dumfries reportedly has a release clause in his contract with Inter, active until the end of the month.
And Barcelona do have an interest in signing a right-back. They have little depth in the position behind Jules Kounde.
Therefore, Dumfries is one name that could be attractive to Barcelona.
Another position that the Spanish champions are aiming to strengthen in this summer is on the left flank.
And Mendes suggested the possibility of Barcelona signing another of his clients. Coincidentally, it was Rafael Leao, who plays for Inter’s city rivals AC Milan.
