Atalanta are set to respond to Inter Milan’s €45 million offer for Ademola Lookman within the next 24 hours.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that Inter are confident of a deal.
Inter Milan have now really set out their stall in their pursuit of Ademola Lookman.
On Tuesday, the Nerazzurri raised their bid for the Nigerian from €40 million to €45 million, including add-ons.
First this came informally, in a conversation between Inter President Beppe Marotta and Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi. Then, Inter officially sent their bid via e-mail, reports the Gazzetta dello Sport.
Inter are offering an initial fee of €42 million for Lookman. Plus €3 million in add-ons.
Atalanta To Respond To €45M Inter Offer For Ademola Lookman Within The Next 24 Hours

According to the Gazzetta, Atalanta are not going to wait long to respond to Inter’s latest offer.
The newspaper report that La Dea will give their response by tomorrow. And possibly even sometime today.
The Gazzetta report that Inter are confident that their bid will be accepted.
So much so, in fact, that the Nerazzurri have turned down an opportunity to sign Chelsea’s Christopher Nkunku.
The Blues would be willing to part with Nkunku for €40 million. That is the amount that Atalanta rejected for Lookman, initially.
However, Ademola Lookman is Inter’s first choice. And the Gazzetta report that Inter believe they can sign the Nigerian imminently.
He wants inter at all cost and would do well.
I think atalanta is searching for replacements .. only savinf grace is that looking wants to leave and only for INTER! atalanta dont want to keep a disgruntled player
When will Lookman contract expired with Atalanta?
They just need to say either yes or no, what’s there to discuss all they’re doing is delaying when instead the club can go look somewhere else.
24h next month
They will refuse.
But I am sure it was told the response will happen within 24 hours like yesterday. WTF?
You do realise theses posts are simply reporting on what different media outlets are saying (According to Gazzette, etc.)…hence why there are conflicting reports.
On top of that, buying/selling players for tens of millions of dollars isn’t a quick click of a button. It’s frustrating, but it takes time.
