Barcelona will not sign Inter Milan wingback Denzel Dumfries following the expiry of his €25 million release clause.
This according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan wingback Denzel Dumfries had a €25 million release clause in his contract.
Moreover, the 29-year-old recently switched agents. He came under the representation of Portuguese super agent Jorge Mendes.
That has naturally led to plenty of transfer rumours regarding Dumfries’s future.
However, that has significantly quieted down after the expiration of the Dutchman’s release clause at the end of last month.
Barcelona Won’t Sign Denzel Dumfries After Inter Release Clause Expires

Barcelona have held several rounds of talks with Jorge Mendes.
And in all of these transfer summits, the agent has offered a deal for Dumfries.
And the €25 million release clause means that a deal for the Dutchman wouldn’t be that difficult.
However, in the end the Blaugranas did not consider signing Dumfries to be a priority.
That does not mean that Barcelona couldn’t theoretically still make a move for Dumfries. But he would certainly cost more than what he would have just yesterday.
And considering Barcelona did not decide to move for the Netherlands international when he had a release clause, there is little chance that they’d suddenly make a move in the next few weeks.
