Nicolo Barella, Petar Sucic, and Ange-Yoan Bonny shone as Inter Milan beat Monaco in a friendly this evening.
Italian outlet FCInterNews identify the trio as Inter’s standout performers in the 2-1 comeback victory for the Nerazzurri.
Inter Milan beat Ligue 1 side Monaco in a friendly match this evening.
The Nerazzurri had to do it the hard way, though. Firstly, Monaco went ahead within a couple minutes.
Maghnes Akliouche took the lead within two minutes for the host.
Then, Hakan Calhanoglu got a straight red card for a late tackle.
However, Inter came back in the first half. Firstly, Nerazzurri captain Lautaro Martinez equalized. Then, summer signing Age-Yoan Bonny got on the scoresheet to complete the comeback.
Barella, Sucic & Bonny Shine Vs Monaco

In the view of FCInterNews, Inter midfielder Nicolo Barella was a standout performer in this evening’s friendly.
The former Cagliari midfielder gave Inter the energy to get up the pitch. Then, he had a key role to play in the final third with his precise passing.
Similarly, Croatian international Petar Sucic looked very comfortable in the midfield battle. Even with Inter at a player disadvantage.
Meanwhile, Sucic was not the only summer signing to impress for Inter. Ange-Yoan Bonny came off the bench, and scored Inter’s winner to cap off a very sharp display.
In this Chivu’s Inter, the players do not play the shirt passes while they prefer carrying the ball more and play longer passes. This is good while attacking but while playing in the own third, makes the team look very much in trouble l, especially when Acerbi is there and is very slow. He was good with Inzaghi but not so with Chivu.
Inter made mistake by letting Mosquera go at cheap price and must bug a really good Centerback. otherwise l, there will be problem s.
Sucic keeps proving his class and will surely be a Star in hear future. Heinerich also looks good but needs to adapt quickly.Bonny shows the speed and physicality.
The old horse is Lautaro, Barella and Bastoni are not rusty and are ready for the next season.
1player still required in each department
Sucic is looking more and more like an absolute steal!!
Hakan 2nd yellow was a complete joke!
Now buy a CB and a proper tricky attacking threat, and maybe go get donnarumma now to guarantee it , in the knowledge that next year would be a lean year recruitment wise
The reason Inter can not get rid of Acerbi and Devrij is that Bastoni is suck at defending without slow Acerbi and Devrij.
We need another CB and CDM. Acerbi, De vrij and Hakan. Will have injury problems all season. And we dont have good backups or competition for those positions.
And Our forward group this season are top notch. All four could be world class. Pio and Bonny are so young but HUGE lol coming off the bench with that much speed and size will be great for us this season. And if either of tiku is injured they are more than capable of starting.
I will ever since the end of last season hakan is so bad keeping hold of the ball. He gets picked way too easily and then he has multiple sloppy passes that lead to goals. Maybe age is catching up to him
Nah…that was just the fokin frog calling a card when its not there. Piece of shite this faggoda. Hakan was in the right. Who picks a french ref for a game including a french team. Absolute pornografy. Forza Inter. Bravo Pio and Bonny. Kids did well. Toro leading the lines. Good game. Though still rusty. Still work to be done.
Nah i definitely agree that wasn’t a yellow and that ref was horrid. multiple calls in the first half not called for us and then who gives a red in the 35th minute of a friendly anyway?
Inter made a mistake not selling Calhanoglu. He should have been sold even last year. Next year he would be worthless.
There was no buyer. He is not the player he was last summer.
In the future we need to get rid of players who enters 30s much faster, except gk of course. De Vrij, Acerbi, Darmian too slow, Hakan terrible. Right time to cash in on Pavard this summer, he was brought to be maybe even better cb than Bastoni considering his reputation, but last season was maybe 3rd or 4th best cb in team. Hell i would even be for to sell Barella in 3 years.
I agree but darmian is still really good for his age
Each of them is good as backup cb, but to play 2 games every week 90 mins? Half of backup line is over 33. Last night when defending we had a couple of situations 3 or 4 on last 2 players, and we had luck in those moments.
Based on your logic, players like Zanetti, Maldini, Totti, Giggs should have been sold by their clubs. Same logic says Acerbi was a mistake.
So Liverpool should have been sold Salah and van Dijk 4 years ago. Was Milan right to let Pirlo go? Was Pirlo a flop at Juventus and Milan became better without Pirlo?
In 3 years time we would have to sell Lautaro, Thuram, Barella, Bastoni.
What age was Milito wheb he joined Inter? We all know what happened – he peaked after 29 years of age. There are so many examples of young players that were at Inter and floped.
So no, age is not everything and there is no such thing as a secret recipee regarding age. Resale value? Look at Joao Mario, Kondogbia, Barbosa.
So tell me what hapened after 2010 when we were left with old guys in team, when we didn’t rejuvenate the team on time? 10 years of aimless wandering. Those players you mentioned are exceptions not rules. And over 10 years we made many mistakes in buying players, our scouting and transfer team were useless. 2 or 3 players over 30 is ok, but when half of your team is than you’re screwed. Today football is much more physical than before and requires stamina and speed.
I already told you that there is no secret recipee regarding age. Milan and Inter (last 2 italian teams) won UCL with old elephants. Zidane was 29 when he joined Real Madrid. Cristiano Ronaldo was 32 when he won the Ballon D’Or. And you keep telling that at 29 we sould sell all players. So Real were so stupid to keep Modric above 30 as he was finished and had no stamina.
Of course, it is better to have young guns in the team, but having only young players, with no experience is not everything.
Your logic is to sell all players that now are 27-28 in the summer of 2027.
If all players are finished, why not let them all leave at 29? Sell them all, buy only young players.
There is no budget to buy the best young players. And there is no gurantee that they will live up to their potential.
A mixture between young and experienced players is needed.
Of course, it is not a great ideea to get Modric now or de Bruyne, don’t get me wrong.
Botton line – I respect your opinion, but I consider that maybe the limit should be 32, not 29, and I know that at 32-33 there is no sale value. If we want to make money, then we should only buy very young players, vrow them and just sell them at 25, not at 30.
Not including current youth and new players, the only ones i would like to stay till 31 are captain, Barella and Bastoni. The rest sell before to bring some money in. None of the rest players are irreplaceable, there is always someone younger, better, cheaper. If we’ve pushed academy players to play as rotation and backup players and earlier buy players like Sucic with room to grow, we could’ve easily buy players like Lookman, and not drag a month this offer.
