Inter Milan President Beppe Marotta says that the Nerazzurri are “waiting for the decision” of midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu regarding his future.
Marotta spoke on TRT Sport, via FCInterNews, after Inter learned their Champions League league phase draw.
Midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu remains an Inter player at the start of this season.
The Turkish international is set to go into his fifth season as a Nerazzurri player. He joined the club on a free transfer from city rivals AC Milan in the summer of 2021.
However, that certainly does not mean that there were not transfer rumours surrounding Calhanoglu.
For several weeks, there was a long transfer saga linking the 31-year-old to Galatasaray.
However, in the end the Turkish champions did not offer anywhere near what Inter would have wanted for Calhanoglu.
Nevertheless, the former Milan and Bayer Leverkusen midfielder’s contract runs out at the end of June 2027. Therefore, in one year’s time Inter are certainly going to have a decision to make regarding the midfielder.
Marotta: “Inter Still Waiting For The Decision Of Calhanoglu”

Inter President Marotta fielded a question about situation of Calhanoglu at the club. “The situation is that he has to decide what to do.”
“We’re still waiting for his decision,” the Nerazzurri President added.
“He’s had a brilliant experience here with us,” Marotta said of Calhanoglu. “And thanks to his contributions and his experience, we’ve had four great years.”
“And we’ll continue to do so,” he added.”Because his contribution will be important this year.”
Then, Marotta said that Inter’s league phase “will be a tough group, as with all groups in this new Champions League format.”
Inter will take on the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, and Atletico Madrid among others.
Inter President Marotta insisted that “the important thing is that we take on our opponents in the best physical and psychological shape.”
This is f**ling hilarious – 1 guy comes on and has an opinion, merely saying he hopes we can cash in and move on, probably because Hakan has been in decline and in a year or so we aren’t gonna get much at all
And people rather than saying “I disagree and why etc etc”
Just bash the guy, then claim he’s negative and whinging yet all completely missing the irony that they are just being negative and whining about him..
hypocrisy at its finest..
i still hope AL Hilal, Al Nassr or any other team comes with 35mln offer till end of transfer window , so we ship him
And when sucic get a card and niko is exhausted from national team duties you will play….who. Be real. Hakan gave us so much. Enough with the hate. Really getting tired of all the haters here. Are you really inter fans or some gobi di merda???
100% agree with you. It’s pathetic how much whinging happens on here.
he’s just plastic fan like many others on this site. he thinks this is some sort of video games where we can get and work with anyone. just ignore him.
I hope hakan will stay, at least for another year, as he’s still our first choice regista. I don’t like seeing barella as CDM cause it’s limiting his creativity just to see sucic shine
the Internet was designed to give haters and negative Nancy’s a voice because the village they live in have already told them to shut up and now ignore them.
