Inter Milan head coach Cristian Chivu is prepared to make several changes to his starting eleven today as his side visit Cagliari in Serie A, with Denzel Dumfries rested and Petar Sucic given the nod over Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
According to reports from the Corriere della Sera today, via FCInterNews, Chivu’s biggest call is that to drop Dumfries.
The Dutch right-back has been ever-present for the Romanian coach since he took over from Simone Inzaghi.
However, the Corriere della Sera claim that Chivu will instead give a chance to summer signing Luis Henrique.
The Brazilian is in pole position over Matteo Darmian, who would be the other option for Inter on the right flank.
Cagliari Vs Inter – Dumfries Out, Sucic In For Nerazzurri

Chivu’s decision to rest Dumfries is not the only close call, the reports claim.
The Romanian coach is reportedly considering giving Petar Sucic the nod over experienced Henrikh Mkhitaryan, which has been a key area of rotation so far this campaign.
The Corriere describe the decision between Sucic and Mkhitaryan as a “generational duel.”
However, today it looks like youth will reign supreme over experience.
