Former Inter Milan striker Arturo Di Napoli tells the club to put their faith in Francesco Pio Esposito rather than focusing on foreigners.

The 20-year-old is the youngest of three brothers who rose through the Nerazzurri’s ranks. The eldest, Salvatore, had long left the nest, signing for Spezia on a permanent basis.

The middle child, Sebastiano, had enjoyed a breakthrough with the first team during Antonio Conte’s reign. However, he spent the previous campaigns on loan, only returning briefly for the FIFA Club World Cup last June. The versatile striker currently plays for Cagliari.

Nevertheless, most observers have crowned Pio as the most promising of the trio. Therefore, he might be the one who ends up building a legacy at San Siro.

The 20-year-old is now part of Inter’s first team. However, Italian clubs can be notorious for denying talented youngsters a fair opportunity.

This approach has long frustrated Serie A fans, because after all, a small gamble every now and then can be worth the risk, as punters who use gambling sites not on GamStop would agree.

Therefore, Di Napoli pleads with Inter to make the most out of Esposito’s talent, while lamenting the lack of exciting young Italians in Serie A.

“Francesco Pio Esposito is a guy I really like,” said the 51-year-old in his interview with Superscommesse.it via FcInterNews.

“First of all, because he’s Italian and secondly, because he’s very young and came through the Inter youth system.

“There are far too many foreigners in our league, often not enough to improve our game.

“Betting on someone like Esposito would be a huge step forward not only for the Nerazzurri but for Italian football as a whole and for the national team.”

Di Napoli Wants To See More Of Pio Esposito At Inter Milan

Di Napoli also notes that Esposito has already proved his worth in the two years he spent at Spezia on loan. He almost helped the Aquilotti earn a promotion last season, but they fell short in the final of the playoffs against Cremonese.

“Esposito has already gained experience in Serie B with Spezia. I think gradually introducing him now is the right choice for Inter.

“Who does he remind me of? He’s a technically and physically strong striker. I’d compare him to Bobo Vieri.”

The young Italy international has already made three appearances this season, but has yet to make a direct goal contribution.
