With several players away on international duty and others featuring in the friendly against Atletico Madrid, Inter’s management are turning their attention to off-field matters – specifically, contract renewals and those of Frattesi and Carlos Augusto.
According to Corriere dello Sport, two dossiers already on the desk for Inter at Viale della Liberazione are those of Davide Frattesi and Carlos Augusto, though the two cases differ significantly in tone.
Frattesi’s situation is described as the more complicated. Earlier optimism about an extension has cooled, as the midfielder’s playing time has been reduced under Cristian Chivu.
“The renewal today is a colder prospect than it appeared in the summer,” Corriere notes, adding that the player will still meet with the club to discuss his future.
Inter Plot Renewals For Frattesi & Carlos Augusto

The report explains that Frattesi had been hopeful of a resurgence under the new coach.
The midfielder even dismissed Newcastle United’s past interest.
However, he will now need to prove himself again to climb back into the hierarchy.
In contrast, Carlos Augusto’s renewal appears straightforward.
The former Monza defender has established himself as a reliable and versatile option on the left flank.
The Brazilian is capable of playing both as a wing-back and a centre-back.
Meanwhile, Federico Dimarco’s contract situation is also expected to come under discussion.
His current deal runs until 2027, a timeline that Corriere suggests Inter want to address early to avoid late negotiations.

Augusto should definitely be given an extension, as for Frattesi’s contract, wait until Chivu decides if he’s gonna use him more often and on his natural position as AM, because as CM he is one of the worst in team
