Cristian Chivu vowed to overhaul Inter Milan upon his arrival in June, and he intends to live up to his promise. 

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInter1908, Chivu’s tactical ideas are taking shape.

Inter’s decision to appoint Cristian Chivu as the new head coach raised more than a few eyebrows.

Indeed, given the 44-year-old’s lack of experience in top-flight management, many considered his arrival a risk.

However, the former defender is on course to silence his doubters.

Simone Inzaghi laid the foundation for the future, yet Chivu has already begun adding his own touch to Inter’s tactical approach.

Furthermore, the Romanian coach has effectively imprinted his philosophy on the squad, transforming the Nerazzurri into a more dynamic unit.

Indeed, he has instilled strict positional discipline while allowing skilled midfielders and forwards more freedom to express themselves.

Chivu’s emphasis on high pressing and aggressiveness off the ball has helped Inter become more compact at the back.

At the same time, they look sharper in attack.
