Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni has said ‘Chivu is the right man for Inter’ ahead of Saturday evening’s must-win match against Napoli.
The centre-back spoke to DAZN ahead of the high-profile clash with Antonio Conte’s side, with quotes via FCInterNews.
Bastoni warned that facing a wounded opponent will be dangerous, especially at the Maradona.
Napoli suffered a humiliating midweek loss to PSV in the Champions League, with a 6-2 defeat in Eindhoven.
“It’s a risk, because hurt teams always give something extra in front of their home crowd. We know what it means to play here, and we must be careful because it will be a tough match,” he said.

The defender also praised Cristian Chivu for how quickly he has connected with the squad.

He has skill but is just way to slow and people with pace just run right past him. I believe DeVrj is a little faster and either use him or Akanji in the middle with Bisseck on the right. Im not totally convinced of Bisseck but we need some speed on the back line. We are to slow for other teams strikers. In my humble opinion.
