Inter Milan goalkeeper Josep Martinez is in serious shock after being involved in a tragic car accident yesterday morning.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Spaniard is under investigation for involuntary manslaughter.

Josep Martinez hit an 81-year-old elderly man in an electric wheelchair on his way to training yesterday.

Despite trying to help the victim on the scene, there was nothing he could do, as the man passed away.

According to several witnesses, it was not Martinez’s fault as the man ‘strangely’ swayed for a few meters.

Therefore, he accidentally entered Martinez’s driving lane, resulting in a fatal collision.

Left in disbelief, Martinez stood there in shock as the helicopter rescue team and ambulance worked to save the man’s life.

Unfortunately, there was nothing to be done.

Despite avoiding physical injuries, the 27-year-old was in a state of shock.

Meanwhile, the police have launched an investigation to establish the cause of the collision.

As for the Inter Milan stopper, he will not return to training until next week.
