Inter Milan have established themselves as set-piece specialists this season, scoring most goals from such plays in Europe.

According to Corriere della Sera via FCInterNews, the San Siro giants have been superb in set-piece situations.

Goal-scoring has become a problem in Serie A, with statistics revealing a downward trend in Italy’s top division.

Indeed, the first ten rounds of the 2025/26 season saw 56 fewer goals scored compared to the same period last year.

Despite that ominous trend, Italian clubs have become more prolific in set-piece plays.

For context, 85 goals out of 226 goals in Serie A this term have come from set pieces, accounting for an incredible 38%.

Furthermore, Inter Milan lead the charts, having netted seven goals from such plays.

Therefore, they’ve emerged as Europe’s leading team for set-piece efficiency, turning dead-ball situations into a reliable source of goals.

Meanwhile, Hakan Calhanoglu has been in scintillating form, netting five Serie A goals already.

As such, he is the division’s joint-top scorer alongside Bologna stalwart Riccardo Orsolini.
