Inter Milan star center-forward Lautaro Martinez ended his three-game scoring drought against Lazio last night.

According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, El Toro is now on the brink of writing a new page in the Nerazzurri history.

Lautaro Martinez drew level with the legendary Sandro Mazzola with his goal against Kairat Almaty on Wednesday.

Indeed, the 28-year-old deadlock-breaker marked his 160th competitive goal in the Nerazzurri jersey.

Last night, he took his tally to 161, moving within striking distance of Roberto Boninsegna.

In addition to netting his eighth goal of the season, El Toro is now ten goals away from matching Boninsegna’s haul.

Indeed, there’s a feeling that the Argentine superstar could become Inter’s third all-time top scorer by the end of the 2025/26 campaign.

Furthermore, it’s a near-certainty that the former Racing Club striker will hit double digits again this season.

Meanwhile, he will likely lead the line when Cristian Chivu’s side take on AC Milan in a mouth-watering Serie A clash after the international break.
