Italian journalist Fabio Caressa drew a flattering comparison between Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez and two Serie A legends.
Speaking on his YouTube channel via FCInter1908, Caressa compared El Toro to Alessandro Del Piero and Beppe Bergomi.
Lautaro Martinez halted his three-game scoring drought in league action with an early deadlock-breaker against Lazio last weekend.
Indeed, the 28-year-old scored his fourth Serie A goal of the season, setting the tone for Inter’s comfortable 2-0 win.
Despite his mediocre scoring exploits in the domestic championship, Lautaro has been outstanding in the Champions League.
With four goals from as many games, El Toro remains in contention for the prestigious Golden Boot award.
Only four players have outscored the Inter star, with Victor Osimhen leading the way with six goals.
Fabio Caressa Heaps Praise on Inter Milan Ace Lautaro Martinez

Currently away on international duty, Lautaro is expected to lead Inter’s attack in next weekend’s clash against AC Milan.
After finding the net against Lazio, he could score in back-to-back Serie A games for only the second time this season.
Meanwhile, Caressa views the Argentine striker as an invaluable asset for the Nerazzurri.
“Lautaro hadn’t scored in four matchdays,” he said. “He had been very useful to the team, and now he has scored in both Europe and Italy.
“I love Lautaro, but don’t tell me he tried to score that goal like that.
“It was a goal with the outside of the foot in Munich, but that one was intentional.
“He had the skill and ability to finish immediately, and the ball went there.
“Great instinct, but it’s impossible to think you can just shoot and score that goal.
“What matters is that he remains a striker, perhaps the best player we have in Italy.
“An absolute favorite of mine, any fan would want him as the captain of their team. He reminds me of Del Piero and Bergomi.”
