Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly identified Club Brugge starlet Aleksandar Stankovic as a potential target.

According to journalist Matteo Moretto via FCInter1908, the Premier League duo could spoil Inter Milan’s hopes of re-signing the Serb.

Inter sold Aleksandar Stankovic to Club Brugge in the summer for a reported fee of €10 million.

However, aware of the midfielder’s potential, the Nerazzurri have included a buyback clause in their deal with the Belgian outfit.

Therefore, the Serie A giants can bring the 20-year-old back to San Siro next year for around €23 million.

Stankovic has hit his stride at the Jan Breydel Stadium, quickly establishing himself as a regular starter.

Indeed, the youngster has collected 21 appearances in all competitions this season.

Meanwhile, his scintillating form in Belgium has not gone unnoticed.

Newcastle and Tottenham have taken note of Stankovic’s progress, adding him to their lists of targets. 

Furthermore, both players have already sent their scouts to observe Stankovic firsthand several times this season.
