Inter Milan Chief Revenue Officer Giorgio Ricci underlined the importance of the club’s new stadium project while speaking at the Web Summit in Lisbon, stressing that both the city and the club need a modern, multifunctional venue to match their ambitions.
Ricci explained that the new San Siro will not only improve matchday experience but also expand Inter’s commercial potential through enhanced corporate and leisure facilities.
“The challenge is to create better and larger spaces for guests and businesses,” Ricci said, with quotes via L’Interista.
“That’s why we need not just a new stadium, but a better stadium. Having a venue that can offer a greater range of services, not only for leisure but also for companies and professionals, will be fundamental for our growth.”
Inter Milan CRO Ricci Convinced By Stadium Project

The Inter executive described the stadium as a cornerstone of the club’s next phase of evolution.
“We are convinced that for a club like ours, the stadium will be a great facilitator for the start of a new and beautiful cycle, allowing us to take an important step forward in terms of growth.”
Ricci also reflected on Inter’s legacy and long-term sustainability goals, balancing history with the demands of modern football.
“Inter is a historic club with enormous emotional involvement and an incredible story. The challenge is achieving sustainability.
“The football world is becoming increasingly concentrated around a small number of clubs. We want to stay and stabilise among them, whether through sporting results, commercial success, or visibility.”
Inter and Milan have finalised the purchase of the current stadium and its surrounding lands.
Therefore, work can now proceed with the hopes of completion within four years.
