After another decisive display for Argentina, Inter captain Lautaro Martinez took to social media to express his pride in representing his country and gratitude for the support received in Angola.

The Inter captain was instrumental in the 2-0 victory in Luanda, opening the scoring from a Lionel Messi assist before returning the favour to set up the Barcelona legend’s second goal.

The performance lifted him to 36 goals with the Albiceleste, overtaking Hernan Crespo.

Therefore, moving into fourth place among Argentina’s all-time top scorers.

But Lautaro’s focus after the match wasn’t on the numbers.

On his Instagram account, he shared a message full of emotion and appreciation for the fans:

“I take every moment to represent my country,” wrote Lautaro, before adding a note of thanks to the hosts of the friendly.

“Thank you to Angola for all the affection received.”
