Inter superstar Hakan Calhanoglu is reportedly struggling with a minor fitness problem ahead of Sunday’s clash against AC Milan.
According to Tuttosport via FCInter1908, the 31-year-old suffered a hand injury in Turkey’s 2-0 home win over Bulgaria last week.
Despite converting an early penalty to put his side in front, the star midfielder finished the match in discomfort.
Indeed, it seems like Hakan Calhanoglu twisted his wrist during the match, forcing Vincenzo Montella to grant him an early discharge.
Therefore, he will skip Turkey’s upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against reigning European champions Spain.

Meanwhile, Matteo Darmian has regained full fitness and will be at Chivu’s disposal next weekend.
On the other hand, Tomas Palacios, Raffaele Di Gennaro, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan remain on the sidelines.
