AC Milan head coach Massimiliano Allegri has sought to ease the pressure on his side by openly naming Inter and Napoli as the main favourites for the Serie A title.
Speaking at a press conference on the eve of Milan’s league clash with Sassuolo, with quotes via FCInter1908, the Rossoneri boss repeatedly played down talk of a title charge despite his team’s strong position in the table.
Allegri first turned his attention to the upcoming opponents, acknowledging Milan’s recent struggles against Sassuolo and newly promoted sides.
He admitted that Milan are eager to reverse an unfavourable trend, explaining that “the numbers against Sassuolo and the newly promoted teams are not in our favour.”
He warned that Sassuolo are a dangerous opponent, noting that “they are one of those teams where the matches never really end, whether you are ahead or behind,” and stressed that the game must be approached “with respect and order.”
Milan Coach Allegri Names Inter & Napoli Scudetto Favourites

When asked why he considers Inter and Napoli the leading contenders for the Scudetto, Allegri pointed to continuity and recent success.
He underlined that “Inter and Napoli finished second and first last season, so it’s normal that they are the favourites.”
In contrast, he reminded journalists that Milan have undergone significant changes.
Saying that “the Milan squad has changed a lot, with many good players arriving and blending with others of great value.”
Despite Milan sitting on 31 points and at the top of the table, Allegri urged caution.
He insisted that the club is still on a path of growth, stressing that “we are on a journey, and we must believe we can do our best, starting from the awareness that the objective is to return to the Champions League.”
The Milan coach also reiterated his trademark patience, adding that “the league is long” and that what really matters is “arriving in March in the best possible condition.”

That lizard face loser wants to drive the attention from his club I am sure AC milan will win it.
Inter will be candidate for Scudetto when starts to win against rivals.
Or as long as we are within striking distance like we are now. You have a loser mentality, even more so than the players do when they face big tests.
If the players mentality is fixed (and this is a huge IF), Serie A will be just like it was during the 23/24 season. If not, I can at least expect Inter to compete until the last matchday and hope for the best. Either case, Inter is still a clear candidate to win Scudetto.
We lose big games, but if we keep winning all the rest, we are more likely to win the Scudetto than Milan and Napoli actually.
