Inter Milan returned to the top of the Serie A table with a dramatic 2-1 win over bottom-half Genoa on Sunday night.

Pre-round leaders AC Milan slumped to a dismal 2-2 home draw against newly promoted Sassuolo earlier in the day.

Meanwhile, reigning holders Napoli lost to Udinese at the Bluenergy Stadium, suffering their first league defeat in four matches.

While their direct Scudetto rivals dropped points, Inter maintained their imperious league form at the Marassi.
