Dutch wingback Denzel Dumfries could reportedly wave goodbye to Inter Milan at the end of the season.

According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, the 29-year-old’s future at San Siro is hanging by a thread.

However, his deal at Giuseppe Meazza includes a €25 million release clause that will come into effect next June.

Furthermore, the former PSV Eindhoven star has recently severed ties with super-agent Jorge Mendes.

Dumfries’ decision to part ways with Mendes testifies to the player’s changing preference.

Indeed, the highly-rated defender has drawn interest from several top European clubs and could be on his way out next summer.

Meanwhile, Inter have already begun searching for Dumfries’ long-term replacement.

Atalanta loanee Marco Palestra has emerged as the club’s top target.

In addition, Genoa’s Brooke Norton-Cuffy, Hellas Verona’s Rafik Belghali, and Pisa’s Idrissa Toure have caught Beppe Marotta’s eye.
