Inter Milan veteran Francesco Acerbi has reportedly resumed training after overcoming a minor thigh injury.
According to Sky Sport via FCInterNews, the 37-year-old featured in this morning’s training session.
Francesco Acerbi suffered a muscle injury during Inter’s controversial 1-0 home loss to Liverpool in mid-December.
Therefore, he missed the team’s trip to Saudi Arabia for the Supercoppa Italiana a week ago.
Furthermore, Cristian Chivu was unable to call upon his starting center-back against Genoa and Atalanta.
Inter Milan Star Francesco Acerbi Returns to Training

Despite earlier concerns, Acerbi will likely be available for Inter’s opening game of 2026.
Indeed, the former Lazio star is expected to be at Chivu’s disposal for Bologna’s visit to San Siro on January 4.
Yann Bisseck excelled in Acerbi’s absence.
Indeed, after scoring against Genoa, the German defender helped Inter keep a clean sheet in Bergamo.
However, Acerbi should reclaim his place in the starting lineup against Bologna if he proves his fitness.
Meanwhile, Matteo Darmian remains in the pits and is unlikely to return until mid-January.
