After Inter Milan’s 3-1 Serie A win over Bologna, Yann Bisseck spoke to DAZN, expressing satisfaction with the performance while offering warm praise for captain Lautaro Martinez.
Bisseck initially sparked concern with his facial expression during the interview, but quickly played it down with humour.
“I’m old, that’s all,” he joked, with quotes via FCInterNews, before clarifying. “No, seriously, I’m fine. We’re happy because we played a great match.”
The only negative note, he admitted, was conceding a goal.
“That part doesn’t sit well with me, but it can happen. Overall, it was a very strong performance.”
Inter 3-1 Bologna – Bisseck Full Of Praise For Captain Lautaro

The German centre-back reserved special words for Lautaro, underlining the importance of his leadership within the group.
“He’s like that – he’s Argentine, they’re all a bit crazy,” Bisseck laughed, before turning serious.
“But he’s a great captain. He always plays for the team, and not all strikers do that. I’m really happy that he’s my captain.”
Bisseck also explained how his role changes depending on where he is used in the back three.
“When I play as the central defender, I have a lot of responsibility. I need to keep the line high and focus more on defending,” he said.
“As a right-sided centre-back, I’m freer mentally. It’s important to help going forward too.”
Confident in his abilities, the defender added: “I think I have the qualities to do that, and I always try to give something extra. Today I think I played well, but I know I can still do better.”
For Inter, the win over Bologna put old demons to rest while Bisseck’s words reflected a squad growing in confidence, and guided by a captain whose commitment continues to set the tone.

used to hate him, but he’s clearly showing progress and I’d say he did good job recently and deserves a praise. just don’t get ahead of himself like he did in the past, knowing he was one of the flop last year and is missing in important matches. either stepping up his game or getting ready to be the next asllani. inzaghi started high hopes for fans and convinced most of them inter, with limited resources, can reach the impossible so most of fans want the best possible for the team without thinking or seeing the progress. I never thought we’d rely on bisseck and piotr, but hey I’m glad I was wrong. I’m not a glory hunter, I just wanna see consistency that inzaghi himself couldn’t achieve though results are also important. we kicked off new year with good start let’s keep it up
