Inter Milan are the clear favourites for the Scudetto, according to Fabio Capello, who believes no other Serie A side can match the Nerazzurri’s overall strength.

In his column in the Gazzetta dello Sport, via L’Interista, the former England and AC Milan coach has doubled down on his view that Inter are uniquely equipped to go the distance in the title race.

“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Inter are the best-equipped team in Serie A,” Capello explained.

The numbers, in his view, tell the story.

Inter have already reached 40 goals in the league, a figure no other side has come close to matching.

Indeed, with the rest of the pack still below 30.

That gap, Capello argues, is not cosmetic but structural.

It reflects the depth Cristian Chivu has at his disposal.

Capello stressed that the Inter coach can rotate his players without losing quality or identity, something rivals simply cannot do.

“The difference is clear and you can see it,” he said, pointing to Inter’s ability to maintain intensity and attacking output regardless of personnel changes.

Even Napoli, despite their competitiveness under Antonio Conte, do not offer the same guarantees.

Capello noted that Conte cannot rotate his squad to the same extent without affecting performance.

For Capello, then, the verdict is straightforward.

In a long season decided by consistency as much as quality, Inter have more solutions, more goals and more margin than anyone else.
