Inter Milan star midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu is reportedly facing a month-long spell on the sidelines due to a calf injury.
According to Inter.it, the 31-year-old underwent detailed medical checks at the Humanitas Clinical Institute in Rozzano this morning.
Unfortunately for Cristian Chivu, the tests revealed a muscle strain in the Turk’s left calf.
Therefore, Hakan Calhanoglu will not be at Chivu’s disposal for tomorrow’s Serie A home clash against Lecce.
Inter Milan Star Hakan Calhanoglu Sustains Calf Injury

Calhanoglu had to come off in the final stages of Inter’s home match against Napoli on Sunday.
Though the injury didn’t look serious at first, the former AC Milan ace could be out for at least three weeks.
As such, Chivu will not be able to call upon his talismanic playmaker for Inter’s last two Champions League outings, as per FCInterNews.
The Nerazzurri will take on Arsenal at home and Borussia Dortmund on the road in a high-stakes league-stage finale.
However, Calhanoglu will not be part of the team, with his return expected at the beginning of February.

There’s been talk of extending his contract, but in my opinion despite his goals he isn’t reliable option for future seasons. More and more problems with injuries, lost balls in midfield that lead to dangerous counter-attacks, better to bring back Stankovic.
life seemed too good recently
I knew my team would humble me real quick lol
I hope he uses Barella there as playing further forward Barella has been bad in shooting, passing and crossing. Zielinski is hopefully fit. Hakan is getting injured more often but at least Chivu is more open to using other options
