The new San Siro project aims to transform the matchday experience by bringing players and fans closer together than ever before.
Domestic publication Il Giorno via FCInter1908 has revealed a fascinating detail about the new stadium.
In the past, players entered the pitch through a retractable tunnel near the Curva Nord, designed to keep them firmly away from supporters.
However, that tradition is about to take a dramatic U-turn in the new San Siro designed by architectural studios led by Norman Foster and David Manica.
New San Siro Intended to Bring Players & Fans Closer to Each Other

AC Milan and Inter Milan are on the brink of a historic change, with the iconic San Siro set to undergo a profound transformation.
One of the main changes relates to the entrance tunnel.
Indeed, the players’ entrance will feature a transparent tunnel, allowing fans to watch their idols from just a few inches away.
However, that privilege will come with a price, as only select individuals will be able to join the exclusive Tunnel Club.
Those supporters will have a chance to observe every gesture and expression moments before the players step onto the pitch.
