Inter Milan wingback Denzel Dumfries is reportedly recovering faster than expected and could return to action next month.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the 29-year-old could be at Cristian Chivu’s disposal again toward the end of February.
Denzel Dumfries sustained a nasty ankle injury during Inter’s home win over Lazio in early November.
Furthermore, he had to undergo surgery at the beginning of December to address the issue.
Therefore, he was expected to stay in the pits until March, but Inter could welcome him back sooner.
Inter Milan Star Denzel Dumfries to Return to Action in February

Dumfries’ long-term absence has left Cristian Chivu strapped for reliable options on the right wing.
Indeed, Luis Henrique has been the only senior alternative, given Matteo Darmian’s lengthy spell on the sidelines.
More importantly, the Brazilian has failed to live up to Dumfries’ high standard, prompting the club to explore the market for reinforcements.
However, the Nerazzurri have been unable to sign a new wingback in the early stages of the January transfer window.
Therefore, Dumfries’ return to the pitch cannot come soon enough.
