Inter Milan goalkeeper Josep Martinez will reportedly make a long-awaited return to the squad for tomorrow’s match against Arsenal.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Spanish ace has returned to full fitness after a two-week spell in the pits.

The Serie A giants will take on the Gunners without several first-team stars, including Hakan Calhanoglu and Denzel Dumfries.

Furthermore, third-choice goalkeeper Raffaele Di Gennaro has been on the sidelines for months.

As such, Cristian Chivu must be thrilled to welcome Josep Martinez back from injury.

Martinez has been out with a minor ankle injury for two weeks.

However, the former Genoa shot-stopper is likely to start on the bench tomorrow after resuming training.

Therefore, Yann Sommer will retain his place between the sticks.

As for Martinez, he is still waiting for his first Champions League appearance this season.

Indeed, the 27-year-old has made four domestic starts under Chivu, but he has been playing second fiddle to Sommer in Europe.
