Inter Milan midfielder Petar Sucic delivered a statement performance in Tuesday’s Champions League home loss to Arsenal.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, Sucic’s first continental goal for the club solidified his status as one of the team’s best-performing players.

Petar Sucic swapped Dinamo Zagreb for San Siro in June, arriving in Serie A as one of Europe’s most talented midfielders.

Furthermore, the 22-year-old had enjoyed a dream start to life in Italy, quickly leapfrogging Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Piotr Zielinski in the pecking order.

However, the latter’s mid-season resurgence has derailed Sucic’s first-team prospects.

Despite making just ten Serie A starts in the opening 19 rounds, Sucic has often made his presence felt on the pitch.

Indeed, he has completed ten successful dribbles, ranking fourth in the club’s charts.

Moreover, the skilled midfielder boasts 14 ‘key passes,’ making him the seventh most creative player on the team.

On top of that, he has racked up a goal and two assists across 850 minutes of Serie A action.
