According to FCInterNews, the 28-year-old visited the Humanitas Institute in Rozzano this morning to undergo examinations to assess the extent of the problem.
The Nerazzurri will take on Borussia Dortmund in a ‘make or break’ UEFA Champions League clash later this evening.
However, Cristian Chivu will be without two standout midfielders. In addition to Barella, Hakan Calhanoglu is also in the pits.
