Al-Ittihad have turned down Inter Milan’s opening bid for Moussa Diaby, but they could still sell the Frenchman this winter.

According to Sportitalia via FCInterNews, the Saudi Pro League giants are currently working on signing a replacement for the 26-year-old.

Moussa Diaby has suddenly emerged as the likeliest candidate to replace long-term absentee Denzel Dumfries on the right wing.

However, Inter’s loan-with-an-option-to-buy offer failed to meet Al-Ittihad’s request, with the Saudis immediately declining the bid.

Considering Al-Ittihad paid €60 million for Diaby in 2024, it’s barely surprising that they’re reluctant to let him go on the cheap.

Meanwhile, Inter would ideally land the former Aston Villa star on loan with a buyout option set at €35 million.

However, it also means that they cannot sign Diaby without a significant discount.

On the positive note, the player has already agreed to join the Nerazzurri.

Al-Ittihad are reluctant to sell the versatile forward, but Yassir Zabiri’s potential arrival from Familicao could change their mind.
