Inter Milan star wingback Denzel Dumfries could reportedly return from injury sooner than expected.
According to Sky Sport via FCInter1908, the Dutchman’s recovery is progressing much better than initially expected.
Denzel Dumfries suffered a nasty ankle injury during Inter’s 2-0 home win over Lazio at the beginning of November.
Indeed, Mattia Zaccagni fell on the 29-year-old, causing a serious fracture.
Therefore, the former PSV Eindhoven ace had to undergo surgery in early December.
Star Wingback Denzel Dumfries Gives Inter Milan a Huge Fitness Boost

Dumfries’ absence has thrown Luis Henrique a lifeline at San Siro.
However, the Brazilian forward has failed to seize the opportunity, forcing Inter to return to the market.
As such, they’ve already opened talks with PSV over the potential arrival of veteran winger Ivan Perisic.
Meanwhile, the early prognosis suggested Dumfries could recover by mid-March.
Against this backdrop, the Dutchman has already returned to partial training at Appiano Gentile.
On that basis, Dumfries could put himself back at Cristian Chivu’s disposal already in February.
