Inter have shifted their focus fully onto Moussa Diaby after confirming that a return for Ivan Perisic is no longer a realistic option.
The situation has taken a clear turn as the Nerazzurri look to secure a wide reinforcement before the window closes.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the Croatian had already given his approval to rejoin Inter and was ready to fly back to work under Cristian Chivu.
However, PSV’s firm stance and the difficulty of structuring the deal have made that track effectively unworkable.
Inter Push Hard For Diaby After Perisic Failure

As a result, Inter are now pushing harder for Diaby.
The French winger is open to the move and has already agreed personal terms with the club.
The main obstacle remains Al-Ittihad.
Indeed, who still need to be convinced on the formula of the transfer rather than the player’s departure itself.
Another meeting took place yesterday between Diaby’s agents and representatives of the Saudi club. Al-Ittihad are already managing several outgoing issues, which complicates their position.
If they open the door to a loan with an option to buy, the final agreement could arrive quickly.
Inter are prepared to include an option worth around €35 million, a figure that matches Diaby’s current book value.
With Perisic off the table, the Nerazzurri are now concentrating their efforts on making this operation succeed in the final hours of the market.
