Serie A strugglers Lazio have reportedly seen their last-ditch attempt to sign Davide Frattesi turned down by Inter Milan.
According to Sky Sport via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri have rejected Lazio’s offer to land the Italian midfielder on loan with an option to buy.
Davide Frattesi has tumbled down the pecking order this season.
Indeed, new manager Cristian Chivu has failed to live up to his pre-season promise, having vowed to reignite the 26-year-old’s career at San Siro.
Instead, Frattesi has only made two Serie A starts this season.
Inter Milan Turn Down Lazio Offer for Davide Frattesi

Despite his bit-part role in Chivu’s system, Frattesi looks likely to stay at Inter until the end of the season.
Meanwhile, Inter have declined Lazio’s bid to sign the former Sassuolo star on loan with a buyout clause.
Furthermore, Maurizio Sarri’s men were reportedly ready to include conditions that would make the deal mandatory.
However, Lazio’s proposal has fallen on Inter’s deaf ears, perhaps largely thanks to the fact that they wouldn’t be able to find a replacement.
