Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin took stock of Juventus’ recent attempt to sign former Inter Milan star Mauro Icardi.
In his latest TWM column via FCInter1908, Biasin made a shocking revelation regarding the Argentine’s alleged ambitions.
Mauro Icardi spent seven years at San Siro, between 2013 and 2020, establishing himself as one of the club’s symbols.
Despite his remarkable scoring exploits in Serie A, the Argentine center-forward failed to win a single piece of silverware in Lombardy.
Furthermore, he left the club in 2020 to join Paris Saint-Germain in a mega-money deal six years ago.
However, after a disappointing adventure in Ligue 1, he moved to Istanbul in 2022, hoping to reignite his career at Galatasaray.
This winter, Juventus tried to lure him back to Italy, with Luciano Spalletti identifying him as a concrete target.
Yet, Okan Buruk’s side turned down the Turin giants’ advances.
Fabrizio Biasin Insists Mauro Icardi Wants Inter Milan Reunion

Icardi has tumbled down the pecking order this season.
Indeed, the former Inter superstar has made just seven league starts, playing second fiddle to Victor Osimhen.
Therefore, Juventus had hoped to sign him on a cut-price deal.
Meanwhile, Biasin believes the ex-Nerazzurri captain was keen to return to San Siro.
“The Old Lady made a serious attempt, and it wasn’t even the first time,” Biasin wrote. “Spalletti, among other things, would have worked on it more than willingly.
“Things didn’t fall into place because they’re no fools in Istanbul, and they know that a red-hot Champions League playoff is coming up shortly.
“As for the rest, I can guarantee that Mauro Icardi would rush back to Inter – it’s been his greatest desire for a long time.
“He would even be willing to slash his wages. But it’s also true that not all wishes come true.”
Despite Biasin’s beliefs, Icardi’s return to Inter looks far-fetched.

If only he didnt lose his mind, He and lautaro would have been an amazing duo up top when we switched to 2 strikers. Now its too late, we dont need him .
No way!
NOPE!!!! FUCK HIM!!!!
I’d welcome him with open arms. Too bad what happened. Icardi & Lautaro would be killing partnership and we’d win 2 more Scudetti.
He may have matured but there are still guys on the team who remember who he was.
He would score 30 goals on this team but he really doesn’t offer anything beyond finishing. There’s a reason he ends up on the bench everywhere he goes.
Pio is already filling his role, plus being younger and more well-rounded and a team-player.
He is where he deserves.
Hope not
Well you can forget about ever coming back.
And no! He was never a symbol of our club.
