Inter Milan coach Cristian Chivu has decided to start Issiaka Kamate and Davide Frattesi against Torino. This evening’s Coppa Italia quarter-final clash kicks off at 21:00 CET in U-Power Stadium in Monza.
The match kicks off at 20:00 GMT (21:00 CET) in Milan, with official lineups released.
Inter Milan made light work of second-tier Venezia in the previous round, cruising to a dominant 5-1 victory at San Siro.

Meanwhile, Torino staged a massive upset at the Stadio Olimpico, denying Roma a chance to face Inter in the quarter-finals.
Despite heading into proceedings as favorites, Inter will be without several first-team stars here.
Indeed, Cristian Chivu cannot call upon the likes of Denzel Dumfries, Nicolo Barella, and Hakan Calhanoglu.
Furthermore, there’s a risk of fatigue amid Inter’s congested fixture schedule.
Therefore, the 45-year-old had to change his starting lineup tonight.
Inter Milan vs Torino – Issiaka Kamate Makes Maiden Start In 2025/26

Teenage midfielder Issiaka Kamate gets his first start for the senior team on the right.
Indeed, the absences of Hakan Calhanoglu and Nicolo Barella have forced Chivu to give the youngster a chance to start in midfield.
In addition to Kamate, another young gun, Matteo Cocchi, starts as a wide player on the left.
Furthermore, veteran star Henrikh Mkhitaryan returns to the starting lineup. Meanwhile, Matteo Darmian seemed on the verge of making his first start of the season.
However, according to FCInterNews, Chivu had to leave him out of the squad to a stomach issue.
Chivu Hands Davide Frattesi First Set of Back-to-Back Starts

Davide Frattesi has been on the fringes this season, making a mere two starts in Serie A.
However, with Barella and Calhanoglu injured, the 26-year-old started on Sunday in Cremona.
As such, the former Sassuolo man is ready to start consecutive matches for the first time this term.
Meanwhile, Mkhitaryan and Frattesi complete the midfield quartet, with Piotr Zielinski starting on the bench.
Further changes come on the flank.
In addition to handing Josep Martinez his first start in goal since mid-December, Chivu decided to overhaul other departments.
Furthermore, Federico Dimarco drops to the bench in favor of Andy Diouf, with Carlos Augusto joining Stefan de Vrij and Francesco Acerbi in defense.
Finally, Marcus Thuram and Ange-Yoan Bonny lead the line at the expense of Lautaro Martinez and Francesco Pio Esposito.

Well done Kamate, he was amazing compared to LH. Now I am having bad dreams when I’m thinking that LH will return vs Sassuolo 🙁
2 goals and 2 assist from French people. France invasion. 🙂
Kamate showed his talent and what a game by him. But he needs to work on his defense to become a starter. Cocchi on the other hand, looks like too cautious. To my surprise, Diouf, Miki and Frattesi hold the midfield really well, better than the Diouf, Sucic and Frattesi comp. Definitely good win on a not that fast pace game! Very important no more injury. Hope Bonny is ok.
Just saw the highlights and lineup. I’m happy with the win. Also love that chivu rotated the squad and gave a chance to our u23 players. We believe in you chivu!! Forza inter !!
Fratessi has become Asllani 2.0.
Nice win with a lot of rotation. The team has improved so much compared to last season. Hopefully the winning streak will continue and give us the Scudetto.
Nope Asllani 2.0 is Henrique that a kid played as his replacement and did better. In fact Frattesi offers a constant attack threat to opposition and in my opinion more defensive cover than Barella who has been poor this season.A midfield of Frattesi and Diouf is a goal scoring midfield and it already happened this season. I won’t be surprised if Frattesi starts to play more and the hate towards him is from media drama as he wanted to leave ever since Inzaghi did him dirty and not play him in the final.
Indeed, DIouf, Fratessi and Kamate needs to start vs Sassuolo.
I’ve just realised that even tho Frattesi didn’t get an assist but provided passes leading to an assist for the two goals. The guy also forced a few saves from the keeper and was a constant threat I seriously don’t get what people don’t understand about him and the fact that he generates interests from outside clubs means he has some value and Inter knows that so that’s why they will not letting him go easily
Important win. Semifinal very tough against (probably) Napoli. 2 goals from French people (neither goal from Thuram). I hoped Lautaro won’t play to be fresh against Sassuolo.
Hard fought win. But we did so with two youngsters. Great job Chivu. Forza Inter brothers. And remember – fok bob the hater. That beoch is a rubentina. Ragebaiting lil 304
you are delusional and overly optimistic bot, as if you have been paid by the ownership and management, who, by the way, have been unable to bring in a single reinforcement during the past transfer window.
and one more thing: blindly following the line of the management that has done nothing to reinforce the squad where it badly needed to be reinforced, and by spreading fake optimism, does not make you a bigger Inter fan than anyone else on this forum, that just makes you what you really are – a bot.
Good win overall. Well done Chivu for trusting young guys and those who haven’t played much. Diouf shows improvement, Fratessi not so much. Kamate should start as a rwb from now on. Sell Henrique.
I’m with you bro. On every point. Every point. Good night interisti. Gotta work tomorrow. Forza Inter brothers
nobody wants Henrique, even turkish clubs don’t risk buying him permanently, only loan+option. Henrique must be returned to a french club by a warranty.
what?!? apparently thuram was played for 60min today. anyone seen him?
I saw him on Bonny’s back while celebrating the goal
every time I feel thuram can’t get any worse.. in the last few games he’s been competing with henrique for the worst on the field.
Henrique is on another level. He’s just so bad
he gave the assist
by mistake of course.. 😉
wow diouf is not bad actually
can’t see without crying how bad Henrique is compared to 9 year old Kamate
hahah i can not believe this, once more 2 passes back
made me slap my forehead
Great showing from the two youngsters
Its always the pitch aint it
is there any live streaming?
2-1 still
is it 2-2?
i cannot watch the live match
The terminator coming in. Forza Inter
Just go to see a replay of the goal. Thought they scored again. Deum that cbs 🙂
Bravo pete. Right on
Did they really reject offers from Nottingham and Lazio for Fratesi? I would have accepted in a heartbeat.
And promote topalovic. But we didnt. Next season.
Over 20 min to go. What a game 🙂
Forza Inter brother. Never a dull moment with our team
Davide for berenbuch and wait with the last sub might be a good idea right now
Bisseck for one of those retirees in the back and Topalovic instead of Frattesi.
Oh yeah. You’re right. Topalovic should come in. Why was i thinking berenbuch
But we gotta save the last sub. Just in case we go 120 min.
No extra time i think, penalties if draw
Deum. I keep forgetting this coppa rules.
I didn’t expect Frattesi to be so bad. He is our weakest link among all our midfielders.
Frattesi is such a useless midfielder. maybe He should be a wing back
Sad to see him like that. He gave me such wonderful memories. I hope he up his game. I like him
I dont see it, He is terrified of having to run with the ball.
Never say never brother. This is inter. If it was normal we wouldnt be here. The fok with that offside saving our behinds
Miki is power. Went out and that left zone got wild. Pete better up his game
Exactly. Miki is an engine out there. Sucic must now not lose his head.
I’m at work how are we playing
Dont worry mate. I got’chu. We’re doing good. I’m dealing with bob the hater in the comments. Come give me a hand when yoy have a moment. That kid is a total capital L
Bob is the one that almost hit audero
This goal once more proves that our centrebacks are slow as snails
Acerbi or De vrij gotta come off.
Might happen. Then bissek gonna score i guess. That kid is wild 🙂
artillery came in and we conceded..
Tsup hater. Gotta a shlong for you sick fok.
Davide watching the game up close. Will have a word with him tonight
And now Torino scored. Bad decission.
Nah bruh. Davide being lazy. Time to kill the game
We’re winning. Better was to strengthen defence.
Why Lautaro. He must be rested for Sassuolo? Why Chivu?
The artilery coming in. Time for demolishment
What a fun game
Good thing. We may need them now
Fratesi can’t even play well on a mixed team. And then there are those who complain that he doesn’t get opportunities. Personally, I think they should have sold him in the last transfer window.
Diouf with his 3rd goal of the season with little playing time. He might gradually become an interesting player.
we’re going to sell him.
Why
too young for us. sorry
Same reason we did Zalewski, Business. Oaktree bought him because they saw an easy money flip.
Very happy with two goals lead early in second half. Let’s not drop concentration and get the win come on inter.
Yes Thuram, Do something!! Bravo Diouf!!
Id napoli fond a way to lose this could be such a easy way to a final but ik they probably will not lose
Diufffffffffffff. 🙂
Diouf, Thuram well done guys!!
Diouffff
Second half on the way. Forza Inter
I hope the match finishes without Henrique playing. His cross delivery is just pure trash that even in a match that he’s not playing it can be seen how Inter are missing out. Kamate can definitely start in a serie a match and deliver
On point. Kamate can play on the right, team won’t lose anything at all.
Kamate’s performance is good so far, solid backup as an RWB
looks like Thuram is preparing to move on this summer…
His career at Inter is reaching a natural ending. He is past his peak performance level.
He knows with Bonny and Pio in tow he’s the Odd man out to raise funds.
We can sell Henrique or Dumfries in the summer and don’t need to buy a replacement.
Kamate plays like Kingsley Coman, fast legs, nice dribbling.
He looks like a little Dembele to me
They young wingbacks both at least know how to cross. that alone makes em better than you know who
Kamate is a new Cancelo
Bonnyyyyy.
henrique bye bye, this Kamate kid is a wonder!!!
Kamate has already done more than L. Henrique in one game lol
Bravo Bonny!!!
Well played Kamate. There you go, one v one and cross.
Good job from Kamate, amazing assist. Good header from Bonny. Glad to see our young talent in the game
It seems that Chivu has figured out that we can’t compete in 3 competitions at the same time, so Coppa is the one that is thrown away.
oh god shut up.
If you don’t like my comment, move on as I couldn’t care less.
and you derive at this conclusion because Chivu didn’t field our theoretical best XI?
Fielding squad players / youths are taboo in Italian football.
These are high-risk games in the sense that if you make a mistake and lose the game, you get out of the competition. Only someone who doesn’t care much would experiment to this degree in such a game.
We’re slow as hell at the back with both De Vrij and Acerbi in the game at the same time. It’s getting more and more tiresome watching Thuram play
Unlucky Carlos Augusto.
Imo Kamate is 2 levels better than Henrique
Let’s be honest, it’s not that hard to be better than that useless L. Henrique, hahaha.
What kind of “I don’t care about the result” line up is this?
This is a complete B team with two primavera players. I like to rotate but not a complete rotate to weaken us massively.
On top of that we are playing away in monza even tho we are home team so we should’ve been more careful. This lineup feels like we are playing a friendly game. I hope we win this game but we need all 5 subs to stay strong
Looks like Chivu doesnt give a fck, he will just use young talents. Brave move! Good luck to the boys!
This is gonna be so much fun. Forza Inter
Wow i certanly did not expect this line up and 2 youngesters starting.. lets see how this goes , it is coppa after all not much damage if we get knocked out
Where is darmian not even in the bench
Stomach bug
Relax boss. They got this
This is heavy rotation. But good to have strong line-up for Sassuolo. I want another win before the derby. Chivu knows in semifinal would be tough against any rival since he never won against them.
Interesting lineup.
Thuram is dog turd and can’t play with Bonny so let’s see if this works
Like seeing youngsters but I don’t think Torino should be taken so lightly – I’d like to actually go for this trophy. Seems chivu doesn’t agree
Torino aren’t seriously that bad?
Excited to see Kamate and cocchi
We all are brother
