Inter Milan goalkeeper Yann Sommer has confirmed he will soon hold talks with the club to clarify his future.
Sommer spoke during the opening ceremony of the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics.
He is working as a special pundit for Swiss broadcaster SRF and the experienced shot-stopper briefly addressed his situation in Milan.
“In the coming weeks I will meet with Inter to discuss things in more detail,” Sommer said, with quotes via FCInterNews, leaving the door open to a potential summer decision.
Inter Prepare Succession Plan For After Sommer Exit

Speculation over the Swiss international’s future has intensified in recent months, with reports suggesting Inter are already evaluating possible long-term successors between the posts.
Among the names most frequently linked are Guglielmo Vicario and Elia Caprile, both seen as profiles for the future should the club decide to move in a new direction.
For now, however, Sommer remains focused on his current role, with discussions set to take place internally before any definitive decisions are made about the next chapter of his career.
