Inter Milan are planning a major summer move to strengthen their midfield, with Roma star Manu Kone emerging as a top target.
Club directors view the France international as the missing piece in Cristian Chivu’s system, as per L’Interista.
They want more physicality, intensity and balance in central areas. Inter tracked the 2001-born midfielder last summer and now appear ready to act.
Italian reports suggest Inter could submit a €50 million offer to Roma.
The Nerazzurri are ready to offer Kone a four-year contract worth around €4 million per season. That figure represents a clear rise on his current salary.
Inter Ready To Spend Big To Gift Roma Star Kone To Chivu

Kone has earned a reputation as one of Europe’s most complete midfielders. He wins the ball, covers ground and protects possession under pressure.
His profile fits Chivu’s plan to add athleticism and defensive security to the midfield.
The move forms part of a wider rebuild. Inter continue to monitor Leon Goretzka’s situation. Aleksandar Stankovic is also expected to return and compete for a first-team role.
If Inter secure the deal, Kone would become a cornerstone signing. He could raise the team’s level immediately while anchoring the club’s long-term project.

Lets not waste a whole summer on a player that his team wont sell at a reasonable price. This guy is big and Athletic which we do not have in the midfield right now but he has MAJOR tunnel vision.
He isnt worth $50m so lets buy elsewhere
Roma didn’t sell him
In the summer when they needed the money more than they will this summer. I seriously doubt they’d sell when they’re heavily rebuilding.
Rome needs 100mls till 30.06.2026 and it is reported many times, they need to sell ! thats why no team was willing to give them loan player + oprtion to buy an winter transfer season because they knew Roma cant afford to buy them in the summer
I hope Kone comes in this summer,a swap with Fratessi can significantly lower the fee and Fratessi can play for his boyhood club.Hakan can be sold.Stankovic can return.
If Kone comes, Hakan will definitely leave. Frattesi and Hakan too combined would secure the funds for Kone.
Kone is world class and would be great to see him here but Id rather see Stankovic back who is born and raised in Milan and is a Inter fan.
If 2 midfielders leave (Hakan and Frattesi), then there will be space for both Stankovic and Kone. Not to mention that Mikhi is towards the end of his career.
But what about Susic though…
Why? We already have so many good midfielders and stankovic is about to join as well (unless I’m wrong). We don’t need him, we need wingers and maybe a creative midfielder to shadow Zielinski.
Cause he’s a different profile buddy. Strong physical dm. We dont have that
our middle is very old
Swap with Frattesi
we will pay this much only if one of our star players is sold…
Hakan & Thuram are most likely to be sold.
Chivu will eventually start to integrate his favored 3-4-2-1 system. Which pushses these players out. Inter will receive a good return on these two if sold next season.
We might end up having a dm destroyer and dm deep laying playmaker as part of a rebuild 4-2-3-1
Then bonny will have to go wide and we can finally use luis in a natural possition with a youngster as a sub
